Analyzing service blueprints using phase distributions
Article Abstract:
Three characteristics of phase distributions may be used to compute the distribution of total execution time of service delivery from the blueprint of stochastic service processes. The resulting distribution may then be used to improve the service flow to increase profitability. The approach, which is suitable for any delay-free production or service processes, is also applicable to the economic and operational evaluation of alternative service blueprint structures.

AHP-based synergy allocation to the partners in a merger
Article Abstract:
A method for ensuring that a merger results in a fair and reasonable synergy allocation to the partners is introduced. It is based on the definition of synergy as the difference between the capitalized earning power of the new firm and the sum of the capitalized earning powers of the individual companies. It employs the Analytic Hierarchy Process to allocate synergy based on the impact intensities of each partner's performance potentials.
