Cigarettes
Article Abstract:
The five key economies of France, Italy, Germany, Spain and the UK, particularly the international market for factory-made cigarettes, was analyzed. It has been found that cigarette consumption in the major Western markets, except Spain, has decreased. Growing health concerns may have prompted this, as well as government regulations towards extra mild and low-tar or filter cigarettes. Smoking in public places is banned in some areas while advertising has to comply with rigid guidelines on cigarette adverts. The top three greatest achievers of growth are France, Spain and Italy.
