Civil litigation, no footnotes and the outcome is anyone's guess
Article Abstract:
Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) was introduced in 1999 to do away with the historical build-up of a judicial pronouncement on the existing rules where absence of footnotes was observed. The civil litigation was subject to the overriding of objective that required the courts to ensure that the parties were on equal footing and to deal with cases in ways that were regard to the amount of money at stake, the importance of the case, the complexity of the issues and the financial position of the parties.

A courtroom is no place for an expert witness to grind his axe
Article Abstract:
The case of Pearce versus Rem Koolhaas and the role of expert witnesses are discussed and how they affect the architectural industry. In this case, the expert witness' testimony was found to be too biased to use in court.
