China National Offshore Oil Corp. posted soaring net profits, up 57 percent to 25.32 billion Yuan ($3.15 billion) an increase from 16.14 billion Yuan in 2004. Revenue rose 26 percent to 69.46 billion Yuan. Financial growth is due to high oil costs and greater production and the oil company will continue to seek expansion overseas.

PetroChina's net climbs with help from refineries
