The detergents sector of the textile washing products market in Benelux, a region consists of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, is dominated by Procter & Gamble, Henkel and Unilever. Procter & Gamble boast brand products Ariel and Dash, while Henkel has the Dixan and Persil brands, and Unilever promotes the Omo and All brands. Procter & Gamble leads the detergents sector, controlling a 53% market share in Belgium and 32% in the Netherlands.

The softeners segment of the textile washing products in Benelux, a region consists of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, is dominated by Procter & Gamble, Unilever and Henkel. The three top players of the segment, however, is closely followed by Colgate-Palmolive. Procter & Gamble, which leads the softeners segment, controls only one fifth of the market value of the segment. Private label companies controls value share of 21% in 1997.
