Competition deadline set for Telekom

Deutsche Telekom is aiming to raise some 15 billion Deutschemarks from its November IPO, although it is unclear what value will be attached to its shares due to the uncertain regulatory environment. Telekom will now be able to offer discounts from November under certain conditions. Important issues in the future regulatory direction, include large user discounts .

Deutsche Telekom's innovative esop
Article Abstract:
Union Bank of Switzerland is to manage an innovative employee stock ownership programme (esop) for Deutsche Telekom. The scheme will involve the use of derivatives and a trust vehivle, Telekom Partner, which will own the Telekom shares. Employees have to remain in the scheme for six years and they can buy shares at a 40% discount.
