Conducted by the crown
Article Abstract:
Dekora Jenicek (Zdirec nad Doubravou, Czech Republic), textile company, saw a turnover of 412.62 mil Kc in 1998, 17.6% more than in 1997. In 1998 the company generated a gross profit of 8.5 mil Kc, 9% less than in 1997. The decline was caused above all by the strong Czech crown in 1998. In 1998 the firm's per-worker proceeds amounted to 1.55 mil Kc compared to 1.359 mil Kc in 1997. The increase in productivity was made possible by investment in production technologies. In 1998 the firm invested 13.7 mil Kc, 12.7 mil Kc of which went into top production equipment. The firm has 270 employees. It is the largest Czech manufacturer of decorative and upholstery textiles.
