In 2004, the UK government intends to spend on education, health and housing, which means more City Academics, more private health-treatment centers and thousands more starter homes for the construction industry. It is expected that output will increase by 2.4 percent in the year 2005, by 1.8 percent in the year 2006 and by 2.9 percent in the year 2007.

Dismal projections for UK's construction industry, due to the outbreak of war in Iraq are highlighted. In contrast, individual analysts in their recent forecasts expect an expansion in the economy with a controlled inflation rate.
