Contradictions still to resolve; environmental factors in planning
Article Abstract:
Town and country planners need to consider environmental aspects when allowing development. It may not always be possible to take into account all the environmental needs but all the factors should be carefully considered so that there is not a net loss to the community. The concept of "sustainability" has led to some debate as there are varying definitions. Planners are now seeking government definitions of environmental preservation.
