DENMARK: B&O TO DEVELOP AMPLIFIER TECHNOLOGY
Article Abstract:
Bang & Olufsen (B&O), the Danish audio and video company, has established a new subsidiary, Bang & Olufsen Powerhouse, with the aim of developing a new amplifier technology called ice-power. For the first time, a partner is involved in a company in the B&O group; namely the man behind the idea, Karsten Nielsen. The ice-power technology reduces energy consumption of amplifiers by up to 90% as a result of a new way of combining components. The technology is introduced in the new loadspeaker Beolab 1. B&O will invest about DKr 10mn (USD 1.4mn) in the project.

Export pricing in state-owned and private MNEs: evidence from the international petroleum market
Article Abstract:
Comparison of the export pricing practices of competitive private and state-owned petroleum companies disclose that there is little differentiation in the prices set. However, since the competition between state-owned and private industry rarely occurs except for crude oil, these findings are irrelevant to the question of whether or not to privatize government-owned petroleum companies.
