DENMARK: INTER PRIMO'S 2000 RESULTS
Article Abstract:
Inter Primo, the Danish producer of plastic profiles, reports a DKr 36.7mn (USD 4.2mn) pre-tax profit for 2000, the same result as for 1999. Operating profit decreased to DKr 33.0mn from DKr 38.4mn, whereas turnover increased to DKr 496.4mn from DKr 483.1mn. After the summer, Inter Primo will begin targeting the market for plastic windows to an increasing extent; so far, the company has mainly been a subcontractor to industries. Flemming Grunnet, chairman of the board, says the company has to participate in the public debate, as plastic profiles are not considered politically correct at the moment. He says plastic windows much more eco-friendly than generally considered.
