DENMARK: MULTI ARENA IN HOJE TAASTRUP
Article Abstract:
The British developer GLN Group is to build the first so-called multi arena, including facilicities for sports, culture and recreation, in Denmark. The arena will be located in Hoje Taastrup, close to Copenhagen, and total about 100,000 sq. metres. About 50% of the premises will locate a large, flexible hall; in addition, there will be a hotel with 120 rooms, 16 cinemas, six night clubs, restaurants, a retail centre, a bowling centre, a gym etc.

DENMARK: MAJOR RETAIL CENTRES LACK TENANTS

Two large Danish retail centres under construction lack tenants that could attract clients to the centres. Major grocery chains have rejected to open stores in Bruun's Gallery, Arhus, as the number of grocery stores in Arhus is considered already sufficiently high, and neither Bruun's Gallery nor Fields, Orestaden, outside Copenhagen, have managed to attract cinema operators.

DENMARK: HOTEL AND HOUSING PROJECT IN COPENHAGEN

At the ground Ny Tojhusgrunden, Amager Boulevard, Copenhagen, the state-owned Danish real estate company Freja is planning for development. In the western part of the area, the Norwegian group Thon will build 14,000 dwellings and a 19,000 sq. metres hotel. In addition, the plan for the area includes three office buildings.
