Denmark: Baltic Pipe project delayed
Article Abstract:
Danish DONG's and Polish POGC's Baltic Pipe project, that entails laying a natural gas pipeline from Denmark to Poland, will been delayed by twelve to eighteen months due to problems in the Polish side of the project. This means that the deregulation of the Danish natural gas market will be delayed until 2004 instead of 2003 as was planned. DONG has requested that the Baltic Pipe project is completed before Danish authorities open up for foreign competition in the Danish gas market.
