DSCL DECLARES 40% DIVIDEND

DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd has announced a 40 percent dividend for 1997-98. Its net profit decreased to Rs23.97 crore in 1997-98 (Rs48.81 crore in 1996-97). A one-time exceptional income of Rs25.51 crore was included in the results of 1996-97. Its turnover increased by 12.4 percent to Rs697.63 crore (Rs620.91 crore). Its operating profit increased by 8.7 percent to Rs100.40 crore (Rs92.30 crore). (khr)
