Article Abstract:
Decision analysis is utilized in the formulation of energy policies for the government of Finland. The method used computer-supported risk analysis in studying the societal and environmental effects of various policy alternatives for energy production. Although decision analysis does not necessitate the use of computerized decision support tools, the use of such equipment can increase efficiency.

Analysing AHP-matrices by regression
Article Abstract:
The formulae for the evaluation of the standard deviations of the estimates of the analytic hierarchy process (AHP)-weights obtained by regression analysis are given. A dissimilarity matrix approach is presented to obtain the statistical simultaneous comparisons of the AHP-weights.
