Experts believe that it is worth saving Japan's banking industry and regain financial stability rather than allowing the sector to collapse and hope for potential recovery. Officials are further considering the creation of a financial scheme to fund the Credit Purchasing Corp, which would be instrumental in helping banks cope with resource difficulties.

Several months after the merger, however, many analysts are encouraging their investors to consider the mega-bank. They noted that the mega-bank is nearing the settlement of its debts. Moreover, the mega-bank possesses sound management fundamentals, making it a safe but profitable investment.
