Dell's profit outlook is cut again

Dell Computer Corp.'s earnings forecasts for the 2000 fourth-quarter and for the 2000 fiscal year are being reduced by analysts due to the industry's slowdown. Dell is expected to post 21 US cents per share in earnings for the fourth-quarter period, compared to the expected 26 cents per share. Dell's yearly earnings are expected to be 15 cents lower-than-expected to 90 cents per share.
