Denial is Beijing's strategy in dodging U.S. law against nuclear proliferation
Article Abstract:
China has denied supporting Pakistan in building nuclear weapons despite strong evidence linking it with nuclear development projects in several potential war zones. US officials believe that denial seems to be China's strategy to avoid US actions against nuclear proliferation under the US's 1994 Nuclear Proliferation Prevention Act. Although the US has evidence to implicate China, it cannot impose sanctions because of possible damages to other US interests such as Pakistan.

U.S. Congress in dilemma over China's trade status
Article Abstract:
US lawmakers frustrated with China's continued misbehavior are again threatening to revoke its most-favored-nation (MFN) status. This is not the first time that such a move has been considered by the members of Congress but observers believe that revocation of China's MFN status has become a very real possibility now because of recent events that have angered many legislators and Chinese officials' stubborn refusal to desist from similar activities in the future.
