Denmark: Bankruptcy numbers expected to rise
Article Abstract:
Chief analyst Bertil From of Danske Bank predicts that the number of bankruptcies in Denmark will rise during the remaining months of this year and at the beginning of next year as a result of the global recession. The US terror attack has also had an impact on this. Statistics by Kobmandsstandes Oplysningsbureau show that the number of petitions in bankruptcy will be 228 in September, which is the highest figure during a single month over the past six years.

Denmark: Bankruptcy numbers up by 80%
Article Abstract:
Bankruptcy numbers in Denmark have gone up by 80% compared with last autumn, according to statistics by Kobmandstanden. Jens Asmussen, senior economist at Nordea, the leading finance house in Scandinavia, ascribes this to the slowdown in Denmark's biggest export markets as well as to weak demand in the domestic market.
