Denmark: Danish Prime's results for 2000-2001
Article Abstract:
Danish Prime, the leading producer of ready meals in Northern Europe owned by Danish Crown, reports a pre-tax profit of almost DKr35mn (US$4.2mn) for 2000-2001 despite the turbulence caused by the mad cow disease and the foot-and-mouth disease. Turnover climbed DKr55mn to a little over DKr1bn. The company regards the result as satisfactory. According to Danish Prime MD Torben Skou, the company has focused strongly on improving pre-tax result and done this through price adjustments, savings and by postponing investments.
