Pollard Thomas Edwards got the award for the Best Development of a Brownfield Site in 2004's National Homebuilder Awards for Angel Waterside, a mixed-use canalside scheme in Islington where it acted as both architect and developer. Few guidelines are given to those architects who want to design as well as develop their designs.

Internationally renowned architects Diener & Diener have simultaneously delivered one building that is both extraordinary and triumphant, and one that, despite the very best intentions, is bordering on banal.
