Directional decomposition heuristic for a linear machine-cell location problem
Article Abstract:
Machine-cell location problem is addressed and details of a research to assign machine cells to there location for various facets of the layouts is provided. The research presented the solution procedure, which included the decomposition of inter-cells flow and partitioning of machine-cell set.

A heuristic algorithm for solving hazardous materials distribution problems
Article Abstract:
A new heuristic algorithm for solving the problem of hazardous materials distribution routes, defined as a bi-objective vehicle routing problem is proposed. Various conclusions derived after applying the proposed algorithm to several benchmark problems are presented.

An evolutionary heuristic for the index tracking problem
Article Abstract:
The problem related to index tracking, a popular form of passive fund management, is discussed. The solution for the index tracking problem, an evolutionary heuristic (popular heuristic), is presented using five data sets drawn from major world markets.
