Distinguished pavilions; appraisal(Trinity College, Cambridge)(Cover Story)
Article Abstract:
The Burrell's Field student residents accommodation has been converted from several original dons' houses, and is one of the largest sites at Cambridge University with the original residential pattern. The design of the newly constructed buildings and overall plan is based on the 45 degree geometrical pattern of the original structures. The design initially included provision for a canal, although this was ultimately ruled out because of cost and security reasons.
