Private labeled disposable paper products in Benelux has accounted for 24.8% fo the total market sales of the industy in 1997. The industry, however, reported that kitchen towel products secured 50% in market penetration, while toilet paper products securing 48% of the 1997 market value. In volume terms, toilet paper is the largest private label subsector in dollar terms. Overall, sanpro and incontinence products showed the least growth with a private label penetration of only 8%. Meanwhile, SCA, a major player in the Benelux disposable paper products market, plans to focus on private labeled products.
