Article Abstract:
A number of marketers in Canada appear to be taking another run at ethical posturing more than 10 years after the environmental movement awoke the collective conscience of corporate Canada in the late 1980s. The ethical positionings of these companies in 2000 differs from that of their counterparts in the 1980s in that they are more selective. Whatever their motives, having a social conscience can pay off in terms of consumer patronage.
