Do they have anything in common?
Article Abstract:
Traditional media companies are investing in the Internet which is seen as a means to deliver content. Media companies produce content and distribute it, and companies that do not invest in new methods of content distribution may suffer by being left behind. Deals include the merger of Lycos and the home shopping operations of USA Networks. There are doubts as to the wisdom of some of the investments made by media companies in the Internet. Internet companies have to be nimble to survive, whereas traditional media companies tend not to be so nimble.
