Domestic petroleum-related expertise utilization and Nigeria's oil industry survival: a multicriteria decision analysis
Article Abstract:
The implementation of Nigeria's 1969 Petroleum Decree on the use of domestic petroleum-related specialization generated both positive and negative impacts on the survival of multinational oil companies and therefore, on the country's oil industry. If the Decree had been carried out in 1969, when it was promulgated, and if finances reached the profit target at 1969 prices, the multinational oil companies would have been less economically efficient and government's revenue from taxation should have increased. This could have also created jobs for Nigerians in the managerial and supervisory/professional staff areas.

Negotiation support systems: a multi-criteria and multi-agent approach
Article Abstract:
The development of a Negotiation Support System is described, emphasizing the conceptual framework of the system and the development of the associated decision support software. The system is based on the ability of a number of decision makers to negotiate for a viable solution, using an artificial intelligence to narrow down the alternatives proposed by each participant. The algorithm being developed for the system is at the cognitive formulation phase based on Euclidean geometry, common senses and negotiation discourses.
