The trend for 1970s nostalgia such as flared trousers, platform shoes and disco music may be a rejection of 1980s materialism, but it is mainly because nostalgia has become an industry. The 1970s are simply the next decade to be exploited for a profit.

Rover Group re-introduced the RV8, at the British Motor Show on Oct 20, 1992. Originally introduced in 1962 as the MG open-top sports car, the RV8 now sells for $43,000. About 15 of the cars will be made per week.
