Dual-band networks lift capacity for cellular without interference
Article Abstract:
Dual-band networks promise to end the problems of cellular telephone users associated with radio interference. The dual-band service allows the use of two different frequencies provided by a single network. Users are placed on the 1,800 megahertz network first to ensure a stronger signal. Companies offering the service include Hongkong Telecom, Hutchison Telephone and SmarTone. These firms are offering the global system for mobile standard aside from the dual-band service.
