Dutch auction policy 'disgraceful'

The Office of Government Commerce (OGC) is stressing on e-auction practices for whole building projects in order to increase transparency and quality for the assessment of prices presented for pre-qualification bidding in building construction projects. The Strategic Forum for Construction, the industry-led task force, asked for greater clarity regarding the policies of online auction, and condemned online auctions as disgraceful and regressive as this would affect quality and value of design and construction.

Euro drive extends planning reform

Article Abstract:

The Great Britain government's commitment to its Planning Bill, which it says, will be in place early next year and the efforts taken to improve it for a more efficient expedition is reported. Shortage of housing is one of the key obstacles to entry into the euro and the government wants to allay fear that the bill will not be given priority.
