Eni gets more than 77% of Burren, ending speculation of counterbid

Italy's Eni S.p.A. announced that it has assumed control of British rival Burren Energy PLC, acquiring in excess of 77% with a $3.4 bil takeover bid. Eni acquired an almost 25% stake, and its offer for more than 52% in further shares was accepted.

Rosneft wins Yukos's last assets
