Estimating returns to scale using non-parametric deterministic technologies: a new method based on goodness-of-fit
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to characterize a novel and more general way of determining qualitative data about returns to scale for individual observations. The method utilized the association between efficiency measurements and goodness-of-fit tests to obtain qualitative information. Findings showed that the returns to scale determination continued to be conditional based on the selection of a measurement orientation.

Learning curves for processes generating defects requiring reworks
Article Abstract:
The learning curve of Wright is presented for processes that generate defects that can be reworked and the analytical results found that the learning curve could be of convex form under some conditions.

Modeling recirculating conveyors with blocking
Article Abstract:
An analytical model that can be used in the design environment for quick performance assessment of recirculating conveyors is presented. The model can be easily extended to complex systems.
