Development capital starts to develop,(development capital in north west England)
Article Abstract:
There is a strong financial services sector in Manchester, England, and thos reflects its commercial and industrial base. Development capital activity has been relatively quiet, but this looks set to change. Development capital permits expansion and investment without change of control. Production capacity problems have affected some manufacturing firms in the region, and they would benefit from development capital. Increased usage of development capital may be needed as the economy moves into an upswing phase.

A buoyant buyout market
Article Abstract:
Newcastle upon Tyne, England, has seen strong deal flows for management buyouts, though transactions tend to be less than 5 million pounds sterling. Averages sizes of deals are not likely to increase since there are many businesses managed by their owners in this region. Owners tend to prefer control to be retained by someone from the same region in England. Trade sales could jeopardise this due to problems related to remote ownership.
