FICCI WEBSITE TO HELP INDIAN FOOD Cos SURVEY GLOBAL MARKET

The Agribusiness Information Centre (AIC) of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) has set up a dedicated website on the Internet mainly for information related to agriculture. The website, AIC-On Line, will have institutional linkages with another website, bisnetindia.com to provide latest economic and business information and embark upon global market studies for food products. The AIC also has close links with Fintrac Inc of Washington, USA, which provides agri-business information, and its on-line provides global market and Indian market information, Indian trade shows and on- line agribusiness report. Article Abstract:
The department of horticulture in Andhra Pradesh wants farmers to grow fruits and vegetables during the off-season with the help of the state agriculture department. This is to ensure that all varieties of fruits and vegetables are available throughout the year which will prevent their prices increasing during the off- season. The western regions of Visakhapatnam and Chittor and parts of Mahabubnagar and Ranga Reddy districts have been identified as suitable for the scheme. (khr)
