Hong Kong fashion designer Barney Cheng finds a lucrative market in US through a successful launch of his clothes designs. Thirty-two-year old Cheng designs elite dresses for prominent US boutique stores that include Saks, Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and the New York-headquartered department store Bergdorf Goodman. Cheng has also established his own Hongkong-based company Yenrabi Ltd., which employs 10 people and serves the country's elites. He expects to generate foreign sales for the firm.

Hong Kong fashion designer Barney Cheng's clothes will now be a part of New York department store Bergdorf Goodman's merchandise line. Cheng is the first Hong Kong designer to invade the US market, introducing his designs in 1996. Cheng's annual US sales accounts for 33% of his total earnings. Cheng's creations are also found in other American clothes shops such as Giorgio in Beverly Hills, CA, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales and Neiman Marcus.
