Fast and unafraid
Article Abstract:
Electronic Data Systems' chief executive, Dick Brown, has been in his post for a year, and the company faced problems when he took over. He has shed jobs and reorganized the company, simplifying its structure with four integrated global businesses. He has also focused on appraisal systems. These measures have helped to cut costs, though there may be a lack of vision at the company. Brown needs to show he is able to be reflective and not just active, if he is to achieve greatness.
