Australia's Prime Minister John Howard is the preferred choice as the next prime minister against the Labor Party candidate Mark Latham when Australia holds elections at the end of the year 2004. A slow and steady economic growth, booming stock market, falling unemployment and lower property prices in Australia are discussed.
