China tries to divide Taiwan
Article Abstract:
China has come up with a new antisecession law, which would result in division of Taiwan into two on any demonstration by the Democratic Progresssive Party of Taiwan. One of the two divisions would comprise of Taiwan-independence supporters and the other would be made up of Taiwan civilians.

Halting the theft of Asia's forests
Article Abstract:
The adverse effects on climate because of illegal felling and logging of forests in Asia, particularly in Indonesia, Burma, Cambodia and Russia are discussed. Policies and legislation that could reverse the trends are also discussed.
