Mark Kolowich, WorldExpressRx.com has been convicted of importing counterfeit drugs and selling them, money laundering and mail fraud. The online pharmacy was filling a niche in the United Kingdom for viagara and it is estimated he earned over $7 million. The fraud was discovered by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Jury awards $47.5 million to man in Vioxx retrial

Frederick Humeston was awarded $47.5 million against Merck & Company Inc. of the United States for a heart attack due to side effects from the analgaesic Vioxx. Vioxx was withdrawn from the marketplace in 2004. There are 28,000 drug side effects claims pending for Vioxx medication.

Vioxx jury awards $9 million in punitive damages
