Article Abstract:
Many foreign pharmaceutical companies rushed into China in anticipation of the huge profits to be made in the world's most populous nation. The problem is aggravated by inflation and government price controls. Foreign pharmaceutical firms are trying to cope with the situation by cutting costs to make their products more affordable for Chinese consumers.
