Great Atlantic and Pacific Co Ltd (A and P) Pres Bill McEwan has challenged customers to visit one of their stores and experience for themselves the truth in the firm's Fresh Obsessed advertising campaign. While the produce section of a Dominion store in Thornhill, Ontario, seemed to support A and P's advertisement, goods marked with a best-before date on clearance carts as well as goods at the cereal and the delicatessen sections put doubts on the merits of the advertisement.
