Generation of assembly graphs by systematic analysis of assembly structures

Article Abstract:

The problems of parallel execution of assembly operations in assembly line balancing are discussed. A novel approach for AND/OR graph generation, based on subassembly detection, is presented. A modification of the optimization method is applied, which enables a search for sequences with maximum parallelism.
