Following a year in which German stock markets saw only five successful initial public offerings, industry observers are predicting that activity will pick up in 2005. The DAX index of the country's top blue-chip companies is expected to continue to rise and it is expected that private equity firms will play a major role in increasing the number of initial public offerings brought to market.
