Article Abstract:
In 2004, trade barriers on textiles and garments are expected to end. This action is expected to benefit China due to cheap labor, and highly efficient factories. India and Pakistan are expected to suffer little, but Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are expected to suffer. Some in the U.S. textile industry are planning for ways to limit the effect of an expected flood of imports.

Getting away with murder
Article Abstract:
The United States is considering imposing new sanctions against the repressive government of Burma. However, the international community does not seem inclined to join the effort. Burma's military leaders are accused of being responsible for the abusive treatment of Suu Kyi and members of her National League for Democracy party.
