SilentEyes scans the battlefield
Article Abstract:
Raytheon Missile Systems has designed a family of small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), known as Silentyes, for roles such as battle-damage assessment. The air-delivered vehicles are unpowered, resulting in a noise signature that is inaudible at grund level, and are sufficiently inexpensive to be expendable. SilentEyes has evolved from the original Microglider design that the company provided the US Air Force.
