Google checks out interest in Online Book 'rental' plan

Google Inc. of the United States has approached a book publisher about developing a fee-based electronic book "rental" product. A consumer could rent an electronic book for a fee for a certain time period. The proposed fee of ten percent of the books list price was judged to be too low, however a budding opportunity for publishers to get in on the electronic book market.
