Granada pays Euro30.6 million for 45% stake in Irish TV3

Granada Media PLC has acquired a 45% share of Irish broadcaster TV3 from CanWest Global Communications Corp. for GBP18.7 million (Euro30.6 million), thereby launching its European expansion. The station will now be owned in a joint venture controlled by Granada Media, CanWest, and the station's founders, a consortium made up of Windmill Lane Pictures Ltd.

Gazprom seeks to dilute its stake in NTV Network

OAO Gazprom, the state-dominated natural gas monopoly of Russia, is purchasing a large share of Media Most, Russia's biggest private media empire.
