According to a recent study by Statistics Canada, undeterred by a challenging economy or problems like SARS, terrorist attacks and mad cow disease, Canadians continued to invest in housing, automobiles, technology and healthcare. Due to this big time spending, their personal savings have fallen greatly and their debt levels have increased.
