Hilfiger alleges Tesco sold fake versions of its goods

Tommy Hilfiger Corp., based in New York, is accusing Tesco PLC, a food retailer in the UK, of selling phony versions of its branded clothes. Tommy Hilfiger is suing the retailer, demanding unspecified damages and is moving to prevent further selling of counterfeit Tommy Hilfiger products. Tesco denied the allegations, adding that it gave Tommy Hilfiger all means to inspect the products in question. The retailer also said that it was offered to sell fake goods, but refused to do so.
