Home Depot posts 5.3% profit rise

The Home Depot Inc. of the United States posted second quarter net profit increases by 5.3 percent to $1.86 billion. Sales are up by 17 percent to $26.03 billion from $22.31 billion last year. The home building market in the United States is slowing and the hardware retail chain has cautioned that financial projections will come in on the conservative side.
